Unsolicited Ideas Policy

Like all AIDS-related organizations, we regularly hear from people who have dietary or herbal treatments for HIV/AIDS. These ideas run the full range from common sense ideas to reports of unusual dreams and psychic inspiration. We do not have the resources to investigate any of these ideas.

Institute for Applied Biomedicine, its volunteers, staff, or directors do not accept unsolicited ideas, particularly for herbal, dietary, or other non-pharmaceutical treatments in HIV/AIDS therapeutic areas. The sole purposes of this policy are (1) to reduce staff time spent processing these communications and (2) to avoid potential misunderstandings or disputes if any future concept might seem similar to ideas submitted to the Institute.

So, please do not send unsolicited treatment ideas to the Institute or anyone at the Institute. If, despite this request, you still send your ideas, then regardless of what your letter says, the following terms shall apply to your idea submission.

TERMS OF IDEA SUBMISSION

You agree that: (1) your ideas will automatically become the property of Institute for Applied Biomedicine, without any compensation to you, and (2) the Institute can use the ideas for any purpose, in any way, and even give them to others, without acknowledging your contribution or informing you of its actions.

FEEDBACK

Institute for Applied Biomedicine does, however, welcome your support, comments, questions, and feedback regarding its existing work, just as we always welcome conversations with any qualified researcher. Any feedback you provide shall be deemed to be non-confidential, and Institute for Applied Biomedicine shall be free to use such information without restriction. Qualified HIV/AIDS researchers, immunologists and licensed medical staff may request a two-way confidentiality agreement if needed.
